We spend our free time riding ATVs, team roping, golfing and many other outdoor activities.
I see the classmates in the area from time to time. If anyone should vacation in the beautiful Black Hills give us a call. Have fun at the reunion.

After returning form stae journalism camp in Lincoln, to find a moving van parked in front of our house and was told we were moving. We moved to Wichita, Kansas and upon registering for school found out that in going to school in three different states I had more credits then were needed to graduate but, was missing one class. I took the one class American Government worked on the yearbook and newspaper and went to work for McDonalds. Upon receiving my diploma I attended Citadel Bible College in Ozark, Arkansas course of study “The Bible”. I continued with my career with McDonalds working in Kansas, Illinois and Texas. I married and had my daughter, Stephanie in 1985. My daughter and I returned to Wyoming in the late part of 1989 and I went back to school at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyoming. I remarried in 1992 and to that union my son, Colton was born. I won and operate a bird processing business (Sondie’s Birdhouse). I do game birds (geese, pheasant, and chucker) also chickens. This November will be my tenth year doing the birds my grandfather processed in his garage and although he taught me to do the deer and etc. I stuck with the birds. I have worked in restaurants and bars have done catering. I have cared and still have a couple clients that I am care-giver for they are disabled either by stroke or amputation. This will be the first year that I haven’t taken courses at the attempt to further educate myself. Someday I hope to decide exactly what I want to do until then classes in whatever tickles my fancy. I flew to California last April to be present when my daughter and son in law gave birth. Addison Elizabeth April 28, 2011. I’m “Gamma” and I Love It!!!!!! My son is 16 and a junior at Southeast in Yoder, Wyoming. He says army when he graduates. So, pretty much I wake up every morning Thank God for another day and try my best to keep one foot in front of the other, live each day for its own (I tried the 2 weeks at a time and aaarrggghhh not good) Keep a Smile on my face !!! I would like to say “Thanks for including me in your reunion”

Soon after I graduated, I had my son Devon, 3 years later I had my Son Dante'. (They are 24 and 21 respectively, now) I found out that Dev was Autistic right before he turned 4. I knew at that time that Dante' was Autistic as well, but that was very uncommon to have 2 in 1 family so I had to browbeat some one to test him. Ever since that moment our house has become an autistic household. Devon has grown up high-functioning, with Asperger's Syndrome, and Dante' has grown up with severe Autism. When the boys were 8 & 5, I got a job at the Drake Bookstore. I worked there off and on for the next 15 years. My boss allowed me the flexibility and part-time hours that I needed for our life. Somewhere in the middle of that I was married for less than a year. It has really only been about the boys and I.
About 3 years ago, I finally found a job that I could do from home. So I have worked from home ever since. It is very calming and supportive for the boys to know that I am at home most of the time, and I absolutely love being at home all of the time.

Both of our daughters went to Columbine High School. My (step) daughter Tiffany suffered emotionally after the high school shooting tragedy during her Freshman year and passed away in Phoenix in 2005. Our daughter Jenna graduated this spring and is enrolled at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois this fall. She will play lacrosse there. She also played ice hockey for 10 years and we traveled coast to coast watching her play including two national tournaments in Buffalo, NY and East Lansing, MI. We found this was a good way to avoid all the stress of investing money in our home or retirement!
I have been working as a software developer and system architect for BN/BNSF, IBM, First Data and now Western Union. We enjoy motorcycle riding, family activities, traveling and volunteering. Of course, being in Colorado I golf and ski when time permits. We also love our three miniature schnauzers - Gus, Gracie and Charlie.

I have been through a few changes in my life since the last time we seen each other. I am no longer farming. I work as a signalman for the BNSF Railway. I live in Hastings NE. I was able to move there with my job so that I could be close to my special needs son. I have six kids, only one is still at home with me. I have been single for a few years. My faith is strong. I am happy.

By this time I had started a company called NOUVEAU. It was a girls pageant and prom shop. I also coached young women on how to interview, sit properly and walk in heels. I know this sounds funny coming from me who hated to even wear dresses. LOL I had the shop for about eight years and then sold it when my other company demanded more of my attention.
I started a medical supply company called NewStyle Medical Supplier, Inc.

I am hitting a new phase in my life. My last daughter Danielle will be leaving for college in California with her other sister. It will just be Mike and I. I am hoping this will give us time to travel, see more things and maybe do more with my girlfriends. All in all I think I have been blessed.

As far as family, I got married in 1984 to Jim Coover from Scottsbluff. Our daughter Micki is 27 and is also a science teacher. Her husband Tyler is also a Centura graduate and he is now a pharmacist in Kearney. They have a two year old, which makes me a grandmother, or GG, as I am called! Our son Jake is 21 and a student at UNL.
My hobbies include technology, gardening and canning. I am still obsessed with running and Jim and I do 12-15 road races a year of all distances. I have also completed 6 full marathons!

I started teaching at Centura Public School near Cairo, NE in 1991 and taught a variety of things from 7th grade science to calculus and physics for 18 years. In 2009 I went to Northwest High School in Grand Island and taught physical science and physics for 3 years. Using technology in the classroom has kept me busy and excited about teaching!
My newest adventure started this summer when I started working for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Science Coach in the Coaching Science Inquiry project for the National Center for Research in Rural Education! I will impact students in a different way as I work with science teachers throughout the state.
